Group Chat
Being able to start a conversation easily is essential for every coaching process. Moreover, it should happen right where the actual work and progress is happening, and this is why Goalify Professional has a thoroughly integrated chat feature. With this feature, you can connect with your colleagues and staff, reach out to all your clients or engage in private conversations. Learn how to create group chats by reading the following document.
Understanding Group Chats
If you need to communicate with all or a selected group of your clients, you should use Group Chat. There are four different types available:
- Challenge Chat
A challenge chat is connected to a specific challenge of a team. Members are automatically added or removed when added or removed from the connected challenge itself. However, coaches may add or remove members from the challenge chat manually too.
- Group Chat
Members of a group chat are managed by coaches manually. Coaches can add clients and other coaches.
- Internal Chat
Only coaches of a team can be added to an internal chat. Coaches joining a team are automatically added to internal chat channels. However, coaches may add or remove coaches from an internal chat manually too.
- Public Chat
All clients and coaches of a team are automatically added to a public chat channel. Members remain hidden as long as they do not post a message in the chat. Coaches can add and remove members manually too.
Administration of Members
Members of a Challenge, Internal and Public chat are managed automatically. However, coaches may add and remove members manually too.

Understanding Push Notifications
All our chats feature push notifications to inform you about new messages. Push notifications can be received both on our Goalify mobile app and on your desktop. It is, however, important to understand that every user needs to grant the right to receive notifications for each device and browser used.
We currently support push-notifications for the latest versions of these browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
You do not need to open Goalify Professional to receive notifications, but browsers display push notifications only if at least one window is open or the process is running in the background.
Notifications for All Devices
You need to set up each device you use to received push notifications for your account. This is also true for every browser you use.
